Symptoms of a Bad Suspension
Rough Ride
If your heavy-duty truck is riding really rough, chances are you need to replace your old shock absorbers. Shock absorbers use fluid to absorb road vibrations, but over time that fluid can leak out of your shock’s housing. When this happens, your shocks cannot absorb road vibrations, hence the rough ride. Fortunately for those who aren’t too keen on replacing their shocks altogether, we here at GKT Truck Repair may also repair them if the damage isn’t too far gone. Call us today to book an appointment.
Squatting or Sagging
Is your heavy-duty truck squatting or sagging while under a heavy load? If so, you may need to get your suspension serviced. If you have a pure leaf spring-based setup, this could mean your leaf springs are worn out and need to be replaced. If you’re running an air-based setup, it may signal that you’re losing air pressure. Lose air pressure can often be blamed on leaking valves, airlines, and airbags themselves.
